Tenants

A tenant is one organisation’s workspace. It holds the content sources, task configurations, destinations, and credentials for that organisation, and nothing crosses between tenants. Switch tenants from the selector in the top right of the app. If you work with several organisations, each appears as its own tenant.

Environments

Each tenant has environments — typically Demo and Production. An environment is a separate set of indexes, configurations, and destinations. Use them the way you would anywhere else:
Check which environment you are in before starting a review session or publishing a version. The environment selector sits next to the tenant name and is easy to overlook.

What lives where

Everything in Speedtrain is scoped to a tenant and an environment:
  • Content sources (indexes and stage outputs)
  • Task configurations and their versions
  • Review sessions
  • Destinations
  • Management clients and tool credentials
A configuration built in Demo does not automatically exist in Production. Moving it there is a deliberate step, which is what makes the separation useful.

Tenant settings

Tenant settings covers organisation-level configuration — members, access, and the deployment models available to your task configurations. Which models you can use, and under which gateway, is set here rather than per configuration.
A task configuration references a deployment model, not a model name. The same underlying model can exist as more than one deployment with different settings, so the deployment is the thing you pick.
